Ascot Fireworks Spectacular & Family Raceday

On Saturday, November 1st, 2025, the awesome surroundings of the world-famous Ascot Racecourse are host to an amazing family day of racing, live entertainment and a breathtaking fireworks display. Marking the return of jumps racing for the winter, the Fireworks Spectacular Family Raceday is actually Berkshire’s largest fireworks display with over 20,000 pyrotechnics expected to light up the November sky. This is truly not one to be missed.

Guests can take part in all the activities around the racecourse. Live music, spooky-themed activities and great food & drink are set to compliment a great day’s jump racing on the turf. Kids under 18 can attend for free, as long as they are accompanied by a full paying adult.

Fireworks Family Raceday Timings & Location

The amazing family event on November 1st at Ascot has something for everyone. Spooky themes, fireworks, excellent refreshments and more are all on offer. Ascot Racecourse entrances are simple to find, right off the high street in the town.

Ascot Racecourse has some excellent facilities to enjoy. The Royal Enclosure, Queen Anne Enclosure and Village Enclosure are all extremely popular and offer great views. Hospitality is available, as are some top bars and eateries. Secure your perfect pitch for Fireworks day to enjoy the spooky atmosphere and great racing.

Timings

Race and entertainment timings for the Spectacular Family Raceday are:

  • Gates open at 10:45am
  • First race is due off at 12:20pm (approx., TBC)
  • Free Fairground rides from around midday during racing
  • £1 fairground rides from 4:00pm (all proceeds to charity)

A large, 20-minite firework display will take place in the centre of the course in front of the stands. Timings for that are to be confirmed, but with 20,000 of them being sent into the sky this should be truly spectacular.

Remember: this is the return of the jumps, the clocks have gone back, and the weather has turned. Remember to dress appropriately!

Horse Racing Action to Compliment the Fireworks on Family Raceday

The kids will be entertained by the spooky-themed entertainment and fireground rides all afternoon. Fine food and drink is also offered on a great day for the whole family. Before the fireworks go off, there is the small matter of some outstanding jumps racing to take care of. Full timings are yet to be confirmed, but there are typically seven races including the all-important £100,000 Gold Cup Handicap Chase.

This three-mile event is an important race on the jumps calendar and is sought after by the best owners and trainers in the business. There is another premier handicap chase on the card over two miles worth the same, as well as a fine two-mile hurdle. All the action unfolds in front of the Ascot stands, while commentary and large TV screens also keep you up to date. Make sure you get across to the parade ring to get a good view of the horses close up.
