Sandown Racecourse is preparing for an energetic evening of horse racing and music on Friday, July 25th, 2025, as Fleetwood Unchained performs live. One of the top racecourses in the country hosts a vibrant, fast paced, and unforgettable night of top live music after racing.
One of the country’s top Fleetwood Mac tribute bands is performing for approximately 90 minutes after the thoroughbred action on the big stage. Beloved classics such as Dreams, The Chain, Everywhere and Go Your Own Way will all be heard during a wonderful night of entertainment. Sandown’s racegoers and fans of Fleetwood Mac can all take part as Fleetwood Unchained bring the iconic hits, while the equine stars bring the sporting magic on the turf.
Fleetwood Unchained and Sandown Racing Timings & Location
If you’re planning to attend to watch Fleetwood Unchained and sing along to all the hits, you can also take advantage of one of the best backdrops in sport. Sandown Park is within easy reach of Esher railway station, just 25 minutes from London Waterloo. There are great facilities at Sandown. Whether you head to Surrey Hall, The Gallery, the Eclipse Pavilion or anywhere else around the course, you will have some of the best views of British horse racing available before the music kicks off.
Race and music timings for Fleetwood Unchained, presented by Sandown are:
- Gates open at 4:30pm
- First race is due off at 5:45pm
- Last race is due off at 8:38pm
- Fleetwood Unchained live on stage straight after racing
The show lasts around 90 minutes on the big stage, featuring a great light show and some classic hits. Start times for the band depend on the timely finish of the final race, which can overrun just a little.
The stage will be set up in front of the grandstand, facing the beautiful trackside lawns. You can’t miss it!
Horse Racing Action Before Fleetwood Unchained

If you’re coming along to Sandown Park too see Fleetwood Unchained, you also have the bonus of watching some of the finest Flat turf racing before it all begins. Sandown is one of Britain’s premier racetracks and it has planned some excellent racing action before the band takes the stage. There are six races on the card before the show. You can get all the runners and riders from the racecard, or online. The full schedule for Friday, July 25th is:
- Race 1 (5:45) – 1-mile, 2-furlong handicap
- Race 2 (6:18) – 5-furlong maiden stakes
- Race 3 (6:53) – 1-mile, 6-furlong handicap
- Race 4 (7:28) – 1-mile, 2-furlong handicap
- Race 5 (8:03) – 1-mile handicap
- Race 6 (8:38) – 7-furlong handicap
All of the action is visible from the stands, in fact Sandown is one of the best courses for seeing the runners pass the winning line close up. There is commentary available, as well as large screens showing all the action live. Bookmaking and Tote betting facilities are also on hand in the enclosures. As soon as the presentations have been made for the final race and the jockeys have weighed in, the show can start with Fleetwood Unchained taking the stage.
