Ripon Racecourse proudly bills itself as “Yorkshire’s Garden Racecourse”, a title that perfectly reflects its attractive surroundings and atmosphere. Racing is exclusively on the Flat between spring and early autumn. The left-handed, oval circuit is renowned for its undulating nature, while the uphill finish can prove more demanding than it first appears. Ripon: Scoops & Saddles Family Day
Ripon Racecourse is combining horse racing with ice cream eating with their Scoops & Saddles Ice Cream Championship. Guests can treat themselves to a variety of ice cream and sweet treats while enjoying the racing. There will also be family friendly entertainment. The gates open at 12.20pm and the first race is at 2.24pm.
Ripon: Curtains Up at the Races Family Day
Ripon Racecourse will be having a family day on the bank holiday Monday with children’s entertainment, a lively circus, a pantomime race, a Children’s Character Onesie Derby, along with the usual horse racing. The gates open at 11.30am and the first race starts at 1.55pm.
Ripon: Theakston Beer Festival
Ripon Racecourse’s season will close out with the Theakston Beer Festival where racegoers can enjoy horse racing alongside a selection of Theakston ales. The day will be in aid of Ripon Community House with the gates opening at 11.30am and the first race kicking off at 1.44pm.
