Remember, remember, the 5th of November, Gunpowder, treason and plot. In honour of Guy Fawkes, simply referred to as Bonfire Night by most, many of the racecourses across the UK put on fireworks at the end of October or the beginning of November. These tend to be large family-friendly displays that are professionally arranged to music and they usually include some sort of other entertainment, such as funfair rides or Live Music, along with food and drink vendors.
Often the event coincides with Halloween so the two holidays tend to get grouped together with spooky, Halloween vibes, fancy dress, and other family-friendly Halloween activities in the lead up to the fireworks display like carving pumpkins and face painting. Racecourse fireworks displays are usually stand-alone events without horse racing, though sometimes you do get a fireworks display after the racing has finished.
