Windsor’s Monday Night race meetings are legendary within the sport of horse racing. The latest theme night comes on Monday, May 18th, 2026, as the course hosts the Flavours of India. The country’s favourite big, bold Indian cuisine flavours will be on hand as Windsor serves up a terrific selection of traditional dishes during Monday racing. There will even be some amazing Bollywood dancing on show.
Windsor is essentially the home of Monday night racing in Britain. Their latest themed race night offers special offers on food and drinks throughout the evening. As well as all the fun and flavour of the traditional Indian food and entertainment to be had, it’s all set against Windsor’s outstanding riverside backdrop. Visitors also get the bonus of some excellent thoroughbred racing and betting.
Flavours of India Race Night Timings & Location
Windsor Racecourse is easy to find. You can drive to the track, which is on Maidenhead Road, only 25 miles west of London via the M4. Both Winsor & Eton Central and Winsor & Eton Riverside stations service the track. You can even arrive by boat.
The racecourse and surroundings here are truly picturesque and great for events. Visitors can buy hospitality tickets or simply go for general admission. The Riverside Boat Package is also a real winner and there are great views of all the racing action from right around the course.
Timings
Race and event timings for Flavours of India Race Night One are:
- Gates open at 3:20pm (TBC)
- First race is due off at 5:20pm (TBC)
- Last race is due off at 8:20pm (TBC)
The Flavours of India entertainment, food and drinks will be available in various areas. Take a walk around, sample all the atmosphere and see what’s on offer. While all this is going on, there is the not so small matter of top thoroughbred Flat racing action taking place too.
Racing Action During Flavours of India Night
Start times are still to be fully decided, the British Flat racing fixture list having not been fully announced as yet. Based on last year’s fixture, we expect at least six races but possibly as many as eight. Betting should be competitive throughout the evening. Last year’s racecard looked like this:
- Race 1 – 5-furlong handicap
- Race 2 – 6-furlong maiden stakes
- Race 3 – 1-mile novice stakes
- Race 4 – 5-furlong handicap
- Race 5 – 1-mile, 3½-furlong handicap
- Race 6 – 1-mile, 3½-furlong handicap
- Race 7 – 1-mile, 2-furlong handicap
Check your racecard for all the information on the runners and riders for the evening. You can also watch the latest betting, replays and live action on the big screen. As the runners get closer to the finish line, you can get great views of them storming past when you get near the rail. You can also check out the runners as they parade in the ring before each event.
Commentary is available on the PA, while as well as food and drink, full betting and Tote facilities are available in all areas throughout the racecourse.
