Family Fun Days are popular racecourse events that tend to take place when kids are off school, such as during the summer, half-term, Halloween and Christmas. Alongside live horse racing, family fun days typically entail lots of great activities for kids. Past events have included: face painting, mascot races, selfies with superheroes, funfair rides, bouncy castles and other inflatables, mobile petting farms, outdoor garden games, egg & spoon races, children’s discos, horse education stations, and more. Additionally, family fun days usually come with great food & drink options for kids, such as sweet shop pop-ups and ice cream vans. A lot of the racecourses even give families the option to bring their picnics!
