While racecourses are known for having street food vendors across the racecourse on any given race day, there are also festivals that specifically feature food. There are quite a few food festivals at UK racecourses with a Caribbean theme, which not only features Caribbean food like jerk chicken, rice and peas, and salt fish fritters, but also offers a selection of rum, alongside reggae music, combining food and drinks with Live Music and a bit of Caribbean culture.
Ascot also puts on a Food & Wine Festival each year with Michelin starred chefs putting on live cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, and sustainability talks. Of course you’ll also find Beer Festivals that could also be considered food festivals in a way with events like Oktoberfest featuring traditional food options like soft pretzels and German sausages, alongside giant steins of beer.
