There are plenty of events when it comes to Christmas with racecourses often offering a space for work and friend Christmas meet-ups, complete with welcome drinks, three-course festive meals, and a DJ and disco to kick off the Christmas season. These parties do not typically involve horse racing but if you’re looking for a festive horse race, be sure to check out the Christmas Beer Festival meeting at Wetherby.
Many of the courses also offer Christmas Jumper meetings in December where visitors are invited to wear their best Christmas jumper to enjoy festive racing. Racegoers can also enjoy mince pies and warm mulled cider and sometimes there’s even an opportunity to meet Santa and his reindeer!
