Five: Live at Newmarket Racecourse

On Friday, June 19th, 2026, the home of British horse racing hosts a brilliant summer night of racing followed by a live performance from Five. On the circuit since 1997, Five have sold over 20 million records around the world. Their hits, including When the Lights Go Out, Keep On Movin’ and If Ya Gettin’ Down, have led to 11 top ten singles including 3 UK number ones.

Some familiar tunes from their two doble platinum albums from 1998 and 1999 will be showcased, all after a great evening of top thoroughbred racing on the famous July Course.

Both courses offer great facilities including in the Premier Enclosure, the Garden Enclosure and on the Champions Lawn. Great eateries, drinking locations and views can be had in all.

Turf Racing Action Before Five Perform Live

Two horses racing in a blur

Newmarket Racecourse is the home of Flat racing in Britain. Across the two courses, Newmarket hosts a number of the country’s Group 1 and even Classic races. On this evening, more top thoroughbred talent will be on show before Five take the stage for a great night of nostalgic 90’s pop music.

Though three is no official schedule yet, at least six races will be on the card. All runners and riders’ information will be available in your racecard. Last year’s racecard, which will be closely replicated, was:

  • Race 1 – 7-furlong fillies’ novice stakes
  • Race 2 – 1-mile handicap
  • Race 3 – 1-mile handicap
  • Race 4 – 1-mile, 2-furlong novice stakes
  • Race 5 – 6-furlong handicap
  • Race 6 – 7-furlong handicap
  • Race 7 – 1-mile, 4-furlong handicap

You can keep an eye on your runners via the big screen. The latest odds will be displayed there also. You can also hear clear commentary via Newmarket’s PA system. As the runners get closer to the finish line, you get a great view of them passing near the rails. After the presentations have been made for the final race and the jockeys have officially weighed in, the racing action is over for another evening and Five can take the stage to entertain us all.
