Madness: Live at Haydock Park

Already a firm favourite with racing crowds around the country, the inimitable Madness will be playing after racing at Haydock Park on Saturday, July 18th, 2026. Unmatched in their ska-style, the 80’s legends will once again be led on stage by Suggs to play a full headline set after the sporting action is over.

Once curbed by the two-tone sound, Madness moved beyond that in their heyday and have since spent decades thrilling crowds around the country. One of the biggest names on the British music scene to have graced the stage, they are now set to wow Haydock Park on a brilliant summer night. Listen out for House of Fun, Our House, Baggy Trousers, One Step Beyond and many, many more hits live when racing finishes on July 18th.

Madness and Evening Racing Timings & Location

No matter whether you’re coming to Haydock for Madness, for the racing or both, your ticket has you covered. Get the best of both worlds with a great early evening of thoroughbred action before Madness get up on stage to crown a wonderful night.

Haydock boasts some great facilities and ticket options. Hospitality packages are available, as are tickets for the Premier Enclosure, County Enclosure and the Grandstand & Paddock. No matter which option you choose, you can get great views of the track before heading to the grassy area in front of the grandstand to see Madness live.

Timings for the day for Madness live at Haydock Park are:

• Gates open at 4:00pm
• First race is due off at 6:00pm
• Last race is due off at 8:45pm
• Madness live is due to start at 9:15pm

The show will be huge, both visually and sonically. Madness’ gig is set to last until around 10:45pm, though the start time depends somewhat on the final race of the evening finishing on time. You won’t miss the main event stage at Haydock. It’ll be set up on the grass right in front of the grandstand, facing the spectators. Just look out for the lights and listen for the noise!

Live Racing Before Madness

Haydock is one of the country’s premier racecourses. Home of the Sprint Cup and the Lancashire Oaks, Haydock is top-class. Look out for some of the stars of the sport arriving for racing before Madness. There are no specific race times or schedule available yet, though we do expect at least six races to be on the card. A mixture of handicaps, novice races and maidens are expected from 5 furlongs up to a mile and a quarter.

The shorter races take place on the straight track, following the enclosures right up to the winning line. Even for the longer events, you can keep track of your horse by watching the big screen and listening to the on-course commentary. Once the final race is over the presentations are made, and the jockeys will weigh in. After racing is officially concluded, Madness can take to the stage for a brilliant night of absolute British music classics.
