Sandown Park Racecourse Events

Sandown Park Racecourse is one of Britain’s premier horse racing and entertainment venues. Open since 1875, the Esher track is home to some of the top races in the country, both on the Flat and over the jumps. The Coral-Eclipse, one of the most important summer races, is run at Sandown in July and is a Group 1 event. Over the jumps, the Tingle Creek Chase (Grade 1) has similar status over the winter.

One of the things visitors love about Sandown is how close they can get to the horses as they cross the line. The atmosphere here is electric and the venue is also perfect for exhibitions, concerts, food & drink and even car shows. Easily accessible from Esher railway station, 25 minutes from London Waterloo, Sandown is as convenient as it is exciting no matter your reason for visiting.

Sandown’s space and facilities means that it can host various events in two distinct ways. Firstly, there are the major exhibitions and shows hosted on non-racing days. Here, visitors can still use the boxes and refreshment outlets usually used during racing. Secondly, Sandown hosts music concerts after racing meaning that you can combine a day’s sport and betting with a terrific night of live entertainment.

Esher is easily accessible from London, the racecourse itself sitting just at the north of the town and dominating a large portion of it. Look out for all the great racing and non-racing events scheduled at Sandown Park coming up.
